The Baveira Wedding

Two brides kissing under a covered bridge with twinkle lights amidst a summer rain.

August 26th, 2022

The Wedding of Stacey & Skylar Baveira

A marvelous Maine wedding amidst a midsummer rainstorm.

Rain on your wedding day is supposably considered to be good luck - unless your ceremony is supposed to be held outside. That New England weather, amirite? A picturesque outside ceremony among the trees at the end of the covered footbridge had to quickly transform into a just as beautiful indoor ceremony at The Old Saco Inn in Fryeburg, Maine.

Even with having to move all the festivities indoors the brides did not let that effect their day! The bond that is shared between these two amazing humans is one to be envied, and the overwhelming support of their friends and family was to be admired.

We were all relieved when the rain held off long enough to get some of my favorite outdoor shots from this location!

Stacey and Skylar are the true definition of soulmates. They were made for each other! Their wedding party was so contributory to keeping spirits up when plans changed. Sometimes all a girl needs, are her girls to have her back. I can’t thank them enough for trusting me to be the one to capture their love, the love their family and friends have for them, and all those little moments in between. Congratulations on finding your happiness Stacey and Skylar!

THE COOPER WEDDING

A traditional wedding ceremony and celebration in Derry, NH.

May 22nd, 2022 — Derry, New Hampshire

Alexis and Matt are two of the happiest, most genuine, amazing people that I have ever worked with. I had the pleasure of doing Alexis’s boudoir shoot, with her album being Matt’s wedding gift (highly recommend). This led to them coming back to have a Couple’s Boudoir session (also highly recommend)! Capturing their special day was such a joy, and now I also get to do their Maternity Shoot!

The perfect New England weather provided these two with a gorgeous outdoor reception. The love that Alexis and Matt were surrounded with on their wedding day was unmatched. Not to mention the dance they created together was truly mesmerizing - great job keeping up with Alexis, Matt!

From boudoir, to the big day, to their couple’s session, and now maternity, I am honored to be able to preserve all these memories for The Coopers. I honestly look forward to seeing the future memories these two are going to create, and I can not wait to be there to capture those as well.

Congratulations Alexis and Matt!

Hollyann and Tayla Engagement

An illustrious seaside engagement session. #loveislove

An illustrious seaside engagement session on the coast of Southern Rhode Island.

Coastal Engagement Session. Same sex engagement session. Rhode Island Engagement Photography. New England Engagement Photography. Sunset Engagement Session.

What was meant to be a storybook session celebrating this beautiful couple in the forests of a nature preserve in Matunuck, RI, ended up becoming a trek along New England’s coastline when plans were foiled by the local hunting season shutting down access to the preserve. We were thankful that the warm fall weather cooperated so we could head to the ocean just in time for sunset.

It’s rare to do a session and have to give almost no direction whatsoever. These two are so naturally in love, and it came through in every photo.

Engagement sessions are always such a fun time, and this experience with Hollyann and Tayla was no exception. My favorite part was the wind blowing directly at me the moment they popped the champagne LOL. In all seriousness, I couldn’t be more excited to have been the person they chose to capture these memories for them. I can't wait to see what they do next! Congratulations, you two!

The Kanya Hacobian Wedding

A dreamlike coastal wedding at the Winslow Estate in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

The Winslow Estate, Cape Cod MA

June 4th 2022

Winslow Estate Wedding. Cape Cod Wedding. Massachusetts Wedding Photographer. New England Wedding Photographer. Destination Wedding Photographer.

There’s nothing like two families joining together on the New England coastline for a dreamy summer wedding in Cape Cod. Celine and Ruben were introduced to me by their wedding planner, Karina, of Magnolia Affairs. I knew once I had my first phone call with the two of them, they were my kind of couple.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect - The perfect amount of sun and cool ocean breeze made for the most ideal June wedding atmosphere. The decor was gorgeous, from the custom place settings to the unmatched floral arrangements, the setting was a dream all around.

The one thing that stood out for this couples wedding, was the way their families embraced and accepted one another as family. Their parents, siblings and friends all seemed like one big long-time family. Everyone was so happy for the couple, and so supportive and excited about their new journey together as Husband and Wife.

Once all the hugs and tears subsided from the magic of the ceremony, dances and speeches, it was time to party! TALK ABOUT A DANCE PARTY! Both sides of the family and all of their friends quickly took over the dance floor. Ruben was front and center - I can still see him pulling Celine on the floor to dance to “Wifey” by NEXT. There’s literally nothing I love more than a fun, lively group at a wedding. I was right up in there capturing ALL the moves!

Wishing these two nothing but the best as they continue to adventure through life together. Cheers, Kanya Hacobians!

Yasmil and Bevin’s Engagement Session

A winter engagement session in beautiful downtown Newport, RI at Gurney’s and Bowen’s Wharf.

I met Yasmil and Bevin at a Wedding Expo at the NYLO in Warwick, RI. Couples and vendors alike were feeling the buzz of going to an event - finally - as Covid restrictions lifted in Rhode Island. The Expo was full of energy, and Yasmil and Bevin were no different. They are SO KIND, and Yasmil’s smile is so contagious. We talked for a few minutes, and they moved on from my table to check out the many other wonderful vendor display’s.

It was later that week that I heard from Yasmil and Bevin and we set up a consultation in my studio. Yasmil came, and we chatted for over an hour - we were a perfect fit. I was officially their wedding photographer!

When it came time for their engagement session - it was raining. We went back and forth, and although it was disappointing we ultimately decided to reschedule. Which we would later discover would be the best decision ever because we ended up at Gurneys, Newport two weeks later at the ice skating rink they had set up. Bevin was the most supportive fiancé ever, and although Yasmil had never been on skates he was right with her making sure she stayed upright… except that one time…

Newport Engagement Session. Newport Winter Engagement Session. Ice Skating Engagement Session. Rhode Island Engagement Photographer. New England Engagement Photography.

Yasmil and Bevin met 1,433 miles away from their home state of Rhode Island in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Both are enlisted in the United States Army and although Bevin says Yasmil fell in love with him because he was her boss, the truth is that they are soulmates. They spent every day off duty adventuring around Cuba together, and eventually came home stateside as a couple.

Bevin had gifted Yasmil an Adventure Book (so fitting) on their first Christmas home as a couple. The idea was that the book was filled with dates that you discovered by “scratching” them off (think lotto tickets). They did these dates for months. Adventuring, taking photos and falling more in love. He had planned to wait until the last one but couldn’t wait any longer. It was August and Bevin was ready. The date was a picnic and they set off to Goddard Park in East Greenwich, RI. Part of the book is that you take Polaroid Photos to document the dates, and Bevin had brought it along. When they took their photo, Bevin had held the ring up without Yasmil seeing.

While they waiting for the Polaroids to develope, Yasmil went to go look through a telescope in the park. A few minutes later Bevin brought over the Polaroid. Yasmil sort of brushed him off, still looking through the telescope.

“Yea, so cute! Let’s eat.”

“No, look, it’s REALLY nice!”

“Oh, yea, so cute!”

““No, Yasmil, LOOK!”

Yasmil took a deep breath as she saw the ring in the photo. Bevin got down on one knee and with tearful eyes said. “You have made me the happiest man alive. Will you marry me?”

Yasmil fell to the ground to hug him and said “YES!”

The rest is history. Now these two extremely kind hearted, adventurous, patient souls are planning a wedding together - and I can’t wait to capture it! You know true love when you see it, and these two were meant to be! I mean, it only took 1,433 miles.

After we played around and had a million laughs at Gurney’s, we took off for Bowens Wharf in Downtown Newport, RI for some after sunset photos with the Christmas lights. It was PERFECT, and so much fun. As many of you know, Newport has a special place in my heart and it fills me right up to capture and experience the love of so many other wonderful couples in this town!

Samantha and Patrick’s Engagement Session

A Providence Engagement Session

Samantha is one of those bride’s that I was immediately excited to work with. She has so much great energy, is absolutely hilarious, and is genuinely such a sweet human. She had actually been the winner of a $500 giveaway that I had in 2020. After our first conversation over the phone of me congratulating her on her win, she became one of my “friend clients” and booked me for her and Patrick’s 2022 wedding.

Samantha called me one day and said “Patrick planned us a day in Providence on the Gondola’s, can you get us in for an engagement session?”

Of course we made it happen, although I warned her I may not make it in time for their Gondola ride. They were cool with it and we began planning the rest of their session.

Providence Engagement Session. Providence Gondola Engagement Session. Rhode Island Engagement Photographer. New England Engagement Photography. Destination Photographer.

“Is that our photographer?!”

“Yup!”

Yep, that would be me. I made it (sorta), and was literally running down the street in Providence chasing their Gondola. Patrick’s first time ever meeting me was as I hopped onto his pulled over Gondola, out of breath, as he sipped champagne with his fiancé who couldn’t stop giggling. Talk about a first impression!

We finished our Gondola ride together and got some of the cutest, coziest photos ever. They were snuggled up in their blanket, sipping champagne and enjoying the unique perspective of Providence from the water. Samantha is silly, and Patrick has this way of trying to not let her know how adorable he thinks she is - but his face gives him away.

We headed to the Pedestrian Bridge for a bit before ending up at Tiny Bar PVD. I had told them how cool the atmosphere was there, and they were excited to go see the outdoor space there and have a drink to warm up. They ordered Hot Toddies, told me all about their love story, families and two cats at home. It was like hanging out with old friends!

Samantha and Patrick met on Hinge, and actually had their first date here in Providence. They went to dinner at a Hibachi restaurant on the East Side, and have been smitten ever since. Patrick had planned to propose in Ireland, but like so many other plans, it was put on hold with the outbreak of Corona Virus. Patrick ended up proposing to Samantha at his own surprise 30th birthday party at Colt State Park, RI. He got down on one knee and Samantha said “This better be real or you’re going in the water!”

As we sat and they shared a drink, Patrick pulled a card out of his wallet. At first I didn’t understand, and he then told me that he has held onto it ever since their first date when Samantha had written this little note on the back of a business card. I am so grateful to be lucky enough to capture this couple’s journey to Mr. and Mrs.

October can’t come soon enough!
